The teachers of Bogura under the banner of “Bangladesh Adarsha Shikkhok Federation” of Bogura town unit arranged a conference at Zilla Parishad Auditorium in Bogura on Saturday afternoon.
The president of Bangladesh Adarsha Shikkhok Federation of Bogura town unit Professor Nasir Uddin presided over the conference while General Secretary of Bangladesh Adarsha Shikkhok Federation, Central Committee former Sinnet Member of Dhaka University Professor ABM Fazlul Karim and Special guests were central Assistant Secretary General Professor Rabiul Islam, Advisier of Bogura town unit ASM Abdul Malek and others. The whole programme was presided over by the Secretary of Bogura town unit Ikbal Hossian.
Speakers demanded nationalization of the non-government educational institutions, full bonus, house rent, medical facilities and above all free from any discrimination in professional activities in the institutions from the conference where teachers from schools, colleges and madrasas were simultaneously present.
Speakers also demanded the reformation in the publishing the textbooks, deducting the names of members of the panel by interim government for changing the subjects of the text books as they were the cohorts of the past fascist government and they demanded to ensure the increase of the government facilities for the teachers from the government so that they can show proper honour to the students’ anti-discrimination movement in July and August in Bangladesh.
Other speakers were Professor Abu Bakkar Siddik, Assistant Professor Abdul Wahab, Assistant Professor Habibur Rahman, Professor Rafiqul Islam, Jahangir Alam, Abdul Mannan, Professor Mizanur Rahman, Azahar Ali, Namirul Haque Zarjis, Nur Muhammad, and Masudur Rahman and others.
