Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), Bogura Corporate Branch (North) has sanctioned at Tk. 5 lakh without surety to Mrs. Masuma Akhtar, 27, wife of Rajibul Islam, the owner of RM Food Corner, of Koigari area in Bogura on Monday noon.

To encourage the small business and to extend trade for making pickle from Beef and other materials, she was sanctioned loan at Tk. 5 lakh with the direction of Zonal Manager of RAKUB, Bogura Md. Shahinur Islam from Corporate Branch (North), RAKUB from Credit Guarantee Skim (CGS) project of Bangladesh Bank on the 4% interest.

Family sources said that her husband was an Assistant Manager of Naz Garden, Bogura but he lost his job due to Corona Pandemic and she fall in utter despair and having no way out, the couple started making pickle from Beef and have been selling them to the customers through online.

Her extreme struggle of life was published in the print-media on the first week of July this year and seeing the news, the management of RAKUB interested to extend their hands to stand beside the woman entrepreneur of Bogura town.

Loan Beneficiary Masuma Akhtar said that after losing her husband’s job, they fell in trouble and after preparing pickle from beef and other materials and selling at home and abroad, her family lot has been changed and the loan with very negligible interest from RAKUB will encourage their business to be extended.

In connection with the sanction, Zonal Manager of RAKUB, Bogura office Md. Shahinur Islam said that RAKUB has been working relentlessly to encourage the small business enterprises to be self-reliant and RAKUB has taken such initiative to extend her business to further extend.

During the handover of the loan money, Zoan Manager Md. Shahinur Islam, Zonal Audit Officer Md. Monirul Islam, RAKUB Corporate (North) Branch Manager Md. Asaduzzaman, Principal Officer AKM Anisuzzaman, Former VP of AHC, Bogura Md. Shuin Chowdhury and other higher officials of the bank were present during the programee.
