A team of 4-Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Bogura, conducted a drive and seized a Kg of dried hemp after arresting one peddler with a motor cycle from Matidali area on Rangpur-Dhaka highway beforeMahathir Chineess Restaurant on Tuesday morning.
The arrested peddler was identified as Rokonuzzaman allies Ripon, 20, son of Md. Sadekul Islam and Md. Parvin Akter of Vadai Kholahati under Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
With the time-framed direction of the Commanding Officer (CO) of 4-APBN (Addl. DIG) Md. Abdur Razzak, the drives have been conducted in the 16 districts of the northern part of the country as part of ensuring security, anti-drug and anti-smuggling combating of 4-APBN, Bogura and so far many successful drives have been initiated in the northern part of the country.
A team of APBN personnel led by unarmed Inspector Arif Ali, conducted the drive in the location of Bogura district and seized a Kg of dried Hemp worth at Tk. 50 thousand with a motor cycle and arrested the peddler from the same location.
Under the direction of Commanding Officer (CO) of 4-APBn, Bogura , Assistant CO (SP of Police) Mahfuz Afzal, Additional SP Taposh Sarkar and Senior ASP Khalequzzaman ppm were also aware of the impending danger comes ahead.
A case was lodged with Bogura sadar police station on 19(a) of section 36(1) under narcotic control act’2018 in Bogura on Tuesday afternoon.
