Pabna’sIshwardi Upazila Awami League president, Upazila parishad chairman heroic freedom fighterNayeb Ali Biswaspassed away. He was 78.He died while undergoing treatment at Ibn Sina Hospital in the capital Dhaka around 10 am on Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter along with numerous party followers and well-wishers. The deceased’s son Sharif Biswas and IshwardiUpazila Nirbahiofficer (UNO) Subir Kumar Das confirmed the matter and said that he fell ill a few days before the 12th national parliament election. He was admitted to the hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath.

Newly elected Member of Parliament of Pabna-4 Constituency Ghalibur Rahman Sharif, Golam Faruque Prince MP, former MP Nuruzzaman Biswas, Pabna district AL president Rezaul Rahim Lal, general secretary of upazila Awami League Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, Ishwardi Upazila administration have expressed grief over his death.

Janaza of the deceased will be held at Ishwardicentral eidgahmaidan at around 8.30 pm on Saturday, family sources.
