On the occasion of Eid, Bashundhara Shubosangho, humanitarian initiatives of  Bashundhara group, has distributed sarees among the low income people in Sherpur of Bogura.

The distribution ceremony was organized at Sadhubari Phansitla Saleha Public School and College premises of Shah Bandegi Union of Upazila on Monday afternoon.

President of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Sherpur Upazila Branch principal Abdul High Bari presided over the programe moderated by general secretary Abdul Quader Majnur while general secretary of  Upazila Awami League Sultan Mahmud was speaking as chief guest.

Office secretaryof  Upazila Awami League Rabiul Islam Babu, advisor of Shuvo Sangho local committee and upazila correspondent of  Kaler Kantho  Ayub Ali, vice president Abdul Alim, organizing secretary Omar Farooq, co-organizing secretary Golam Rabbani, member Habibur , Rahman Panna, Dr. Golam Sarwar, Chhatra League leader Taniul Islam spoke.

Later, saree lungis were distributed among hundreds of poor women and men in different areas of the upazila including the municipality.

In the speech of the chief guest, Awami League leader Sultan Mahmud said, Bashundhara Shuvasangho has developed as one of the largest social organizations in the country. This organization is making an important contribution in the service of self-humanity in addition to conducting public awareness activities.

It is being managed with the funding of Bashundhara, one of the industrial groups of the country. He praised the various social activities of the Sherpur Upazila Shubosangh Committee by announcing that he will stand by the Shubosangh in the future.
