The Chief of Bangladesh Army SM Shafiuddin Ahmed sbp(bar), osp, ndu, psc, Ph.D has paid a visit to winter parade and distributed warm cloths to the cold-hit people at Dugdugihat College Premise under Ghoraghat upazila and Chokchoka Govt. Primary School premise under Fulbari upazila under Dinajpur district on Tuesday afternoon.

The winter parade conducted by 11-infantry and 66-infantry division in the areas was visited by the chief of army and emphasized on the capacity building of driving power.

The Army chief General Shafiuddin Ahmed said that Bangladesh Army has already become an expert, ordered and organized army in the world and the army have been playing vital role in keeping independence, sovereignty and oneness protected and they have been playing crucial role in facing natural calamities as well as peace-keeping in abroad too.

The army chief has directed all the army personnel to be ready to face the difficulties in the upcoming time ahead and they have been giving trained up properly.

During his visit and warm cloth distribution, Quarter Master General Lieutenant General Md. Saiful Alam sbp(bar), osp, sup, awc, psc, Ph.d and General Commanding Officer (GOC) and Area Commander of Bogura area Md. Khaled Ali Mamun pbgm, ndc, psc and GOC of Rangpur region Md. Foyjur Rahman bsp, sjp, ndc, afwc, psc etc. and later he distributed around 1800 warm cloths to the cold-hit people in the premise of Dugdughir hat area under Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur district.

Different benevolent initiatives like free-treatment, free-of cost medicine distribution and pro-public services have been given in the humanitarian program.
