Mamun-ur-Rashid : The Executive Magistrates of Bogura district administration have been keeping their vigilant eye on the each poll centre during upcoming 5 municipality- election in Bogura district on January 30 instant.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura district Md. Ziaul Hoque has mentioned the fact during a view exchange meeting with the candidates of Mayoral and Councilour election.
The view-exchange meeting was held at Shaheed Titu Millenayatan in Bogura town on Sunday last and the Senior District Election Officer and Returning Officer of Bogura Mahbub Alam Shah.
The DC urged the candidates of the mayoral and councillour posts of 5 municipalities in Bogura district to follow the codes of election during the election of January 30 instant and the election will be held in festive and joyous mode and the ballot-papers will be sent in the each poll centre on the morning of the election day and the law-enforcers will keep vigilance on the each poll centre led by an Executive Magistrate of the district administration.
In the view-exchange meeting, the Superintendent of Police(SP) of Bogura Ali Asraf Bhuiyan BPM (bar), the UNO of Gabtoli upazila Rownak Jahan, Additional district election Officer Nazrul Islam, Sadar upazila election officer SM Zakir Hossain, Anisur Rahman, Jannat Ara Joly, Mayoral candidate Touhidur Rahman Manik, Saiful Islam, Motiur Rahman Motin, Abdul Mannan and others.
Senior District Election Officer and Returning Officer of Bogura Mahbub Alam Shah said that the election in Dhunat, Shibgonj, Nandigram, Kahaloo and Gabtoli municipalities in Bogura district will be held on January 30 instant.
In the poll of the 5 municipalities, 19 mayoral, 55 reserved-seated and 154 general member candidates have been contesting in the election and tight security measures have been taken to hold the election fairly and freely, added the election officer.
