Bogura District Police arranged an “Anti-Rape and Torture Beat Policing Gathering” at Shaheed Khokon Park in Bogura town on Saturday morning echoing other 6,911 gatherings in the whole country at a time.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bogura Ali Asraf Bhuiyan BPM (Bar) presided over the function of 2,000 members of Beat Policing of 18 wards of Bogura district.
Speakers were Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Bogura district administration Salauddin Ahmed, Awami League district unit President Mojibor Rahman Mojnu, Secretary Regebul Ahsan Ripu, Chairman of district parishad Mokbul Hossain, Former Commander of Muktijoddhaya Shangshad Ruhul Amin Bablu, Executive Director of TMSS Prof. Dr. Hosne Ara, Editor of The Daily Karatoa Mozammel Haque Lalu, Principal Jahura Wahida, President of Bogura Chamber Masudar Rahman Milon, President of Bogura Bar Adv. Golam Faruk, Public Prosecutor Adv. Noresh Mukharjee, DD Shahidul Islam, President of Bogura Press Club Mahamudul Alam Nayan, Secretary Arif Rehman, Principal Shahadat Alam Jhunu, Abdul Motin, Vice-Chairman Dalia Aktar Rikta, student of class ten Mohomoni and others.
Speakers said that the police have been playing their role as public and humane police and the people of all works of life should ensure support to the benevolent works of the police department as police has historic role from the freedom fighting to the fighting against Corona taking risk of lives.
The police have been expected to establish law and order strict, to ensure safety and security of the people, to make the sure present position of the country in the arena of the whole world, to build awareness among the people specially the women and children and to mark the activities of the police as position eye, added the speakers.
Contacted, Sonaton Chakrabarty, Additional Superintendent of Police (Bogura Sadar Circle) said that the department has introduced women and children help desk in each police station to ensure social and family security of the women and children and the victim women and children have got some benefits from the humanitarian measures so far.
