College teacher dies with corona symptoms in Pabna

Monwar Hossain Jahedi, head of the Bangla department at Pabna Government Edward College, has died of corona symptoms. He died at his home in Shalgarhia moholla under Pabna municipality area on Thursday morning. He was 74.

According to the family sources, he was admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital with extreme fever when he suddenly fell ill on Wednesday.  After admission, he felt a little better. That night he returned home from the hospital. In the morning, the fever returned to normal and his condition worsened. He died at home while trying to rush back to the hospital.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter and many relatives and admirers. He was known as the author, researcher and orator of many books.

Monowar Hossain Jahedi was a part-time professor at the beginning of Pabna University of Science and Technology.He served as the secretary of the Pabna Annada Govindah public library for almost two decades.

Retired Vice President of Pabna Government Women’s College Monwar Hossain Jahedi was a teacher to the people of Pabna.

His published books are: Anantaghumer Deshe, Shatabdir Chhayapathe Edward Collge, Shatabdeer Biddapith Radhanagar Mojumdar Academy, Bangachhander Pathsala, Make Mone Pore, Sorgerduare Jatra and Pabnar Kritijoner Katha.
