Bera upazila chairman dies of Covid-19

Abdul Quader, Bera upazila parishad chairman also the upazila Awami League general secretary,  died of Covid-19 at a hospital in Dhaka Thursday evening. He was 73.

He left behind his wife, one son and two daughters and many relatives. He died while he was undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital at 6pm on Thursday.

Bera upazila Vice Chairman Mejbaul Haque Mezba Mollah confirmed the information.

He said Kuader was admitted to Enayetpur Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital last Wednesday (September 2) after falling seriously ill. From there he was admitted to Dhaka Square Hospital on Thursday (September 3). His corona positive was released last Friday (September 4) through the Ministry of Local Government.

When the news of his death spread in the area, the shadow of mourning fell.

Golam Farooq Prince, Member of Parliament for Sadar-5 constituency also the Pabna district Awami League secretary expressed deep shock at the death of upazila chairman AL leader Abdul Kuader. He also conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
