Fomer MP Tofazzal Hossain Sarker passes away in Palashbari

Former member of Parliament (MP) from Palashbari- Sadullapur constituency of Bangladesh Parliament and a renowned organizer of the Liberation War, and also former president of Awami League, Palasbariupazila unit, passed away at his residence Nuniagari Professor paara area of Palashbariupazila town this morning around 6.30 AM due to illness.

He is 74. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

A pal of gloom descended in the area over the news of his death. A large number of people from all walks of life flocked to his residence to pay their homage.

Local law maker UmmeKulsumSmrity expressed deep shock at his death.

President of district Awami League Advocate Syed Shams-Ul-AlamHiru, general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, president of upazilaAwami League Abu Bakar Prodhan, vice president and also upazila chairman Mokshed Chowdhury Bidyut have expressed their profound shocked at the death of Tofazzal Hossain Sarker.

They also said the demise of Tofazzal Hossain Sarker was an irreparable loss for the political party Awami League.

They also pray to Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
