A human chain and protest meeting was held under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district on Thursday, February 25 at 3 pm to protest the murder and demand justice for the culprits.
Human chain and protest rallies have been held at Sherpur in Bogura as well as across the country demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment for involvement in the brutal shooting death of Noakhali-based journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakkir of online news portal Bartabazar, a victim of political revenge.
The Trinamool Journalist Welfare Society of Bangladesh, Sherpur Upazila and Barta Bazar Parivar held a protest rally at Sherpur Bus Stand on Thursday, February 25 at 3 pm after an hour-long human chain on the Dhaka-Bogura Highway.
Speakers at the human chain have repeatedly accused journalists of being killed, tortured, tortured and oppressed. They demanded justice for them and bringing those involved under the law to provide maximum punishment.
The journalists of Sherpur upazila hope that no brother will be killed and that no journalists will have to stand in the streets in protest. Human chain and protest rallies demanded justice for all journalists, including Sagar-Runi.
At that time Sujit Kumar Basak, Editor, Weekly Thatha Mala Mir Salam, Information and Technology Secretary, Central Committee, Bangladesh Trinamool Journalists Society, Ziauddin Liton, Daily Sakal, Abu Bakkar Siddique, Staff Reporter, Drishti Pratidin, Barta Bazar Rashidul Haque, Delta. Shahidul Islam Shaon of Times, Motaleb Hossain of Asian TV, Abdur Razzak, Milon, Shri Ashok, Sarwar Jahan, Abdus Salam and others were present on the occasion in the meeting.
