The ancient temple is situated by the eastern side of Kurigram-Bhurungamariroad at Pairadanga village under Nageswariupazila in the district. Local farmer KalipadaBabu 65 said none can tell the actual age of the temple but he is imagined that the temple was built around 400 years ago. Several banyan trees grew on the temple which attract to all.
The visitors as well as passengers who travel on this road by bus,Auto Rickshaw,Motor cycle etc. look the traditional temple at a glance as it is very attractive.
Local ProsantoBabu 27 a service holder of an NGO said earlier several snakes lived in the temple but now no snake is being found here. Many children afraid to see the temple as they seem that ghosts live here.
It is said that many years ago robbers after committing robbery they deposited their arms in the temple as safety because the place was surrounding by jungle at that time.
The Hindu Communities perform several worship (Puja) including Shiba puja,Shetoly puja and Durga puja here every year. Men, women and children gather there with joy wearing new clothes.
The temple is damaging day by day due to lack of proper maintenance. The local people however urged to the authority concerned to repair or renovation the ancient temple immediately.
