An anti-drug drive recovered 2 Kg hemp, arrested 2 in Bogura

An anti-drug campaign against narcotics and smuggling seized 2 Kg of contraband hemp and arrested 2 drug peddlers before Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital (SZMCH) of Silimpur area on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogura on early Wednesday.

The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Khitish Sardar, 40, son of late Arjun Sardar of Kosba village and Liton Sardar, 31, son of Kina Sardar of Khokshabari area of Mithapur village under Bodolgaci upazila of naogaon district.

On the direction of the Commanding Officer (CO) of APBn-4, Bogura, and on the tip-off, a team of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) of Bogura-4 forces led by Inspector (Unarmed) Moklesur Rahman conducted a drive and arrested them and seized 2 Kgs of contraband hemp wort6h at Tk. 1 lakh from their possession.

Commanding Officer (CO) of APBn-4, Bogura Syed Abu Sayem bpm said that a case was lodged on section 19(a) of 36(1) under narcotic control act’2018 with sadar police station in Bogura on Wednesday and arrested persons were sent to the court in the afternoon and the court sent them to jail after hearing.
