Allegation of vandalizing Kalimandir located in Belta village of Mirzapur Union of Sherpur Upazila in Bogura district against committee members.
According to the complain, the devotees were attacked, the temple was vandalized, the flower garden of the puja was uprooted, the donation box of temple, the head of the tube well and six bundles of tin in front of the Atchalas were stolen during the puja worship last Sunday night.
Besides, It is also known from the complaint that 10-12 persons led by Parimal Chandra Sarkar and his brother Nirmal Chandra Sarkar of Belta village of the upazila came and attacked the temple worshipers.
While visiting, the correspondent came to know these allegations have been made due to the dispute over the temple. Apart from this, Parimal Chadra Sarkar and teacher Nirmal Chandra Sarkar are owner of land where the temple is located. However, no one knows about the looting of the temple’s guarded donation box and worship dishes.
Parimal Chandra Sarkar said as the tin of temple’s house was worn out and water was leaking into the room, so the tin was opened for renovation. Initiatives have been taken to clean the weeds and garbage around the temple, he added.
President of Puja Udjapon Parishad Nimai Ghos said he has heard the matter. A proposal of mutual has already been submitted to him, he added.
Officer-in-charge of Sherpur Babu Kumar Saha confirmed the complaint and said that the matter will be investigated more seriously and necessary action will be taken.
