Aged woman was beaten up with a stick allegedly while she was fetching grass for a goat at Uttorpara of Bangra village of Garidah union under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district around 8 am (13 January).

Daughter-in-law of the injured old woman has lodged a written complaint with Sherpur Police Station .

Injured old woman Sahar Banu(60) wife of the deceased Kangalu, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital, said, “I went to collect hay and grass for goat in the morning.” At that time a man named Musta (50) came and started abusing me.

At one stage, he hit various places of her body with a stick and got injured.She was later rescued by locals and admitted to Sherpur Upazila Health Complex.

Injured son Shah Alam said,” the son of the late Roich Uddin. Musta carried out a terrifying attack and beat my mother severely”.” I want a fair judgement”,he added.
