A seven-day photo exhibition and competition of district police started in Pabna

A seven-day photo exhibition and competition has started in Pabna to inspire teenagers and youngsters from the criminal world to creative work under the slogan “Let the light come in the picture, not in the circle of Aadhaar, not in crime”.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan inaugurated the event at Pabna Police Lines Cafeteria on Friday night under the theme “Pabna of Life” organised by the district police.

Additional Superintendent of Police Masud Alam, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sajeeb Shahreen, competition photojournalist Hasan Mahmud, photographer Ehsan Ali Biswas and other district police officials and contestants were present at the time.

According to the organisers, pictures were called for the event on the Facebook page of the district police Pabna. On the occasion of 50 years of independence, 50 selected pictures out of 550 pictures, in this exhibition. The 2022 calendar of the district police was prepared with 12 selected pictures. A total of 16 contestants were awarded in four categories.

Crests and certificates are also given to all the contestants. The photo exhibition will run till January 20.

The presence of visitors on the first day of the photo exhibition was eye-catching. Many who came to the exhibition said that the district police has organised a creative event that goes beyond working with crime and criminals, which is undoubtedly worthy of praise.

Through this, they think that teenagers and young people will come forward in creative work by taking advantage of digital time.

Superintendent of Police Mahibul Islam Khan said that after joining Pabna, he saw teenagers and youths walking around with weapons. Parents do not know where their children go or what they do. The subject makes him think, hurts. Organising photography competitions and exhibitions is based on the idea of ​​how to get involved in creative, creative work.
