The development of the country is not possible without an atmosphere of communal harmony said Religious Advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain in a meeting.

He again said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Rangpur District Workshop-2025 organized under the project titled 'Temple-based Children and Mass Education Activities to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals and Promote Moral Education' at the Rangpur District Shilpakala Academy auditorium this morning.

The Hindu Religious Welfare Trust organized this workshop under the Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program - 6th Phase Project.

Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain said, communal harmony and tolerance are prerequisites for the development of a state. Social stability depends on communal harmony.

People of different religions live in this country. We have to move forward on the path of development with everyone. If there is instability or dissatisfaction here, then foreign investment will be hindered.

He urged everyone to open their minds and broaden their perspectives.

Calling insulting religion a heinous act, Dr. Khalid said, "For a long time, a sick mentality of sarcasm, insults, insults or satire on religion has been observed in this country. It is done by people of low nature. Violent incidents are initiated under the pretext of insulting religion. Just as insulting religion is a crime in the eyes of the law, illegally punishing an individual or a community for their crime is an even greater crime."
