The upazila administration on Wednesday has conducted a mobile court drive on various roads in Sherpur, Bogra to prevent road accidents and ensure safe roads. Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Liaqoat Ali Shaikh administered this mobile court.
Motorcycles were seized in mobile courts operating on different roads including Mahipur Bazar, Garidaha Bazar, Garidaha Jamunna Bazar. Under the Road Transport Act-2018, 12 riders were fined Tk 4,100 / – for not wearing helmets at this time.
“We all want safe roads, but we don’t want to obey traffic laws – it can’t happen,” UNO told motorcyclists. Everyone must obey the transport laws to avoid accidents.
Such campaigns of the upazila administration will continue in the public interest.
