A group of miscreants numbering more than one thousand looted in KurigramZilaParishad office valuables worth around Taka one crore at 4.00 pm on Monday (July 05).

Locals and eyewitnesses said the miscreants entered into the office breaking open the lock of gate and cutting the grill of eastern side of ground floor of the office building and looted 18 computer sets, damaged glasses of windows and table glass, steel Almirah, File Cabinets and ransacked the files and other documents.

They looted fivecelling fans,five stand fans, AC numbering eight, cash money and other valuable items from every room of the office in both ground and first floor. They also damaged the SS pipe fences, all the garden lights, glass of door of the conference room and looted chairs and relief materials, uprooted flower trees.

They also took away more than 70 ducks from duck shed near the pond of ZilaParishad office campus. None can dare to come ahead to save those valuables articles as they were with lethal weapons.Earlier they also damaged the office main gate and burnt the furniture of a room of ZilaParishad on the day before.

Chief Executive Officer of KurigramZilaParishadFerujul Islam said I visited on the spot and the matter was informed the higher authority concerned.

A preparation was going to file a case with police.

On the other hand, the miscreants also damaged in Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in Kurigram College crossing and took away everything including all chairs, tables, celling, doors, windows and other articles.
