Relief materials have been distributed formally among flood hit poor people in various unions in remote char areas by KurigramZilaParishad.

Relief materials have been distributed among 600 flood victims in Hatia Union Council Offices premises and Remote areas near Mollarhat under Begumganj union of Ulipurupazila in Kurigram on Monday. Earlier same materials distributed at Bhodganga, Mogolbacha and Jatrapur union under Sadarupazila.

The Relief materials are Rice 4 kgs,Potato 1 kg,Pulse,half kg, Salt half kg, edible oil half kg, Oral Rehydration Salt and water purifying tablets.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KurigramZilaParishad Mr. ANM Obaidur Rahman and Mr. Firujul Islam respectively,office secretary of district AL Mamunur Rashid,Agriculture and cooperative affair secretary Dr. Shahnaj Begum Nazu,member of district AL and also former member of KurigramZilaParishad Professor Mahbuba Begum Lovely,vice president of district BCL Al Amin Sarkar Lincoln,organizing secretary Fahim and members of the concerned union councils were present in the distribution ceremony.

CEO Mr. Firujul Islam said no one come to such remote areas due to disrupted communication. Consequently, we are distributingrelief here considering the matter.

Chairman of KurigramZilaParishad Mr. ANM Obaidur Rahman said we have been distributing relief materials among the flood victims in various unions in the district for the last one week.
