One house wife was allegedly beaten to death by his cruel husband due to family feud at Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram district at noon on Sunday (April21).Police arrested the killer.

The deceased was identified as Batashi Rani 20 wife of Sudangsu Roy 40 of village DakkhinPranpatiPoddarpara under Rajarhat upazila.

Police and local sources said Sudangsu Roy, a battery run three wheeler (Auto)driver son of Khoka Ram of the village married BatasiRani of village Deuti under Panchagramunion of LalmonirhatSadarupazila 20 years ago.

After their marriage her mother-in-law Bulbuly used to torture her both mentally and physically due to family feud.

However following the family feud the housewife was mercilessly beaten by her cruel husband at night and the villagers found the dead boy in the bed at noon on Sunday. Being informed Rajarhat thana police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Police brought the body to police station and the husband Sudangsu was also arrested.

Officer-in-charge of Rahajraht police station Md. Mostafizar Rahmantold this correspondent that the body was sent to KurigramSadar hospital morgue for autopsy.A murder case was filed.The accused was arrested and sent to Kurigram jail, OC added.
