Brahman died of Austomisnan at Chilmari

A Brahman died of heart failure while he was taking in the yearly bath festival in the Brahmaputra River at Chilmariupazila in Kurigram at 10.00 pm on Monday (April 15).

The deceased was identified as Rashik Chad Tagore 65 hailed from Mogolhat area under Lalmonirhat district.

Local sources said while the Brahman was taking bath in the Brahmaputra River at night suddenly he felt chest pain. He was immediately taken to Chilmariupazila health complex where the attending doctors declared him dead. It is suspected that he might has been died of heart failure,locals opined.

Officer-in-charge of Chilmari police station MozammelHaque said I heard the news and police forces sent to hospital.

Medical Officer of Chilmariupazila health complex Dr. Sharmin Akhter said the dead body was brought to the hospital. Later the relatives of the deceased took away the body from the hospital.
