Seminar on importance of skill development training to building Smart Bangladesh held in RDA

A training seassion on importance of skill development training to building Smart Bangladesh was held at Rural Development Academy ( RDA) in Bogura.

The training session was presided over by Director General of RDA Md Khurshid Iqbal Rezvi (Additional Secretary) while Executive Chairman of National Skill Development Authority of Prime Minister’s Office Nasreen Afroz (senior Secretary) was present was specking as the chief guest.

The joint director of RDA Dr. Abdul Mazid spoke the  main Article before the participants with the very begening of the program.  The joint director of the academy Sheikh Shahriar Mohammad conductted the  whole training  seassion.

Apart from this, additional director general of RDA Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun , DGM  of Janata Bank Bogura Zone Ahmed Taiyob Hasan, Zonal Officer of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan  Bank Shahinur Rahman, TMSS representative Faizunnahar, BRDC representative Hasibur Rahman, Enamul Haque, trainee Saju Ahmed from Sariakandi and others also spoke.

Former expatriate Saju Ahmed said, “If I had given the training before going abroad, I would have been paid a lot of money in abroad.”  “They migrate from different countries with such training. They get more salary and remittances from the country are more.” He added.

The speakers said in their speech, the undisputed leader of the Bengali nation, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman took several successful steps in the early stages of the reconstruction of post-independence Bangladesh to build a free Sonar Bangla.

He rightly felt that training and research in the development of rural Bangladesh. Therefore, in 1974 with his sincere desire and efforts, Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura was established by allocating Tk 2.20 crores under the First Five Year Plan of Bangladesh. And the main responsibility of this academy is to provide training, conduct research and provide necessary consultancy services to the stakeholders.

Rural Development Academy, Bogura is the first to conduct research related to rural development. This research is based on small scale empirical research. If the subject is successful in research and practical studies, we convert it into training. Training is one of the 4 core activities. The main objective of the training is human resource development for rural development.
