Malaysia expatriate’s wife, minor son found dead in Pabna

A mother and her son of aMalaysia expatriate’s wife and child were strangled to death in Chatmoharupazila of Pabna. The police believe that they may have been killed sometime during the night before this.

Police recovered their bodies from Dighulia village under Failjanaunion of the upazila at around 11:30 on Friday.

The deceased Labani Khatun,35, and her son Riyad Hossain,8, are the wife and children of Abdur Rashid of Dighulia village.Rashid has been living in Malaysia for a long time.

Hafizur Rahman, Chairman of Failjana Union Parishad, quoting the locals, said that in the morning, the bodies were found lying there and the police was informed.Chairman said, ‘they had no enmity with anyone.

The administration will be able to tell who killed them in this way. Local member of the unionMohammad Nannu said that the woman, her infant son and mother-in-law lived in that house.House construction is going on.It is believed that someone may have committed such an incident while stealing or robbing money.The body of the woman was lying in the kitchen and the body of the boy was hanging from a nearby tree.

When contacted, Chatmoharpolice station officer-in-Charge Salim Reza said, “We are currently at the scene.”Our work is ongoing.This will be discussed in detail later.

OCSalim Reza said that the bodies have been recovered and sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Details can be given on this subject when the post-mortem report is received.

Pabna additional superintendent of police Masud Alam said, ` mother and son were brutally killed. It will take time for us to find out who, why and how they killed in this incident. We have some clues already. We have already started a thorough investigation based on that clue. Hopefully, we will be able to fully unravel the mystery of this murder soon.’
