National Social Service Day was celebrated in Pabna with various events including a rally discussion meeting under the theme “Bangladesh will be smart by building society” Tuesday.

The rally on the occasion of the day was taken out from the district administration office and ended at the district administration office after circling the main roads of the district town. After the rally organisedjointly by district administration and district social service office, a discussion meeting and documentaries were presented in the conference room of district administration.

Pabna deputy commissioner MuhammadAsaduzzaman presided over the meeting. DDLG Saifur Rahman, additional district magistrate Jahangir Alam, additional deputy commissioner Abdullah Al Mamun, Sharif Ahmed, Pabna Press Club president ABM Fazlur Rahman, BSS’s district correspondent Rafiqul Islam Sweet were present at the meeting.

Speakers said that the government has announced to build a smart Bangladesh. No one will be left behind in Smart Bangladesh. Social services are playing a special role in building a smart Bangladesh by working for the social security of all people.

Deputy director of district social services office Rashedul Kabir conducted the meeting.
