Renowned journalist of Bogura and senior reporter of “The Daily Janakantha” and noted feature writer Somudra Haque died from cardiac arrest under treatment at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital (SZMCH) in Bogura at around 9 AM on Tuesday morning.
He was 71 years of old at the time of death and he left his wife and two daughters, huge number of well-wishers to mourn at his death. He had been suffering from cardiac and respiratory diseases for long period of time.
He began his journalism from The Daily Uttorbarta and then he worked in The Daily Star and finally, he had been working in The Daily Janakantha from a long period of time.
Garlands of flowers were offered on the dead body of Somudra Haque by local member of parliament of Bogura (Constituency-06) Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Deputy Commissioner of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam, Representative of Superintendent of Police, Bogura, Additional SP Sharafat Hossain, President of Bangladesh Awami league Mojibur Rahman Mojnu, President of Bogura Press Club Mahamudul Alam Nayan, and different persons of the district.
