Celebration of Lord Krishna’s Janmashtami in Chapainawabganj

A discussion meeting, a colorful procession and award distribution were held on the occasion of Janmashtami, the 5249th auspicious appearance of the Supreme Lord Lord Krishna, in Chapainawabganj for the sake of world peace.

Chapainawabganj Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebration committee at 10 am on Wednesday held a discussion meeting in Shibatala Charjot Pratap Thakurani Durga temple premises of the district town, Chapainawabganj-03 Constituency Member of National Parliament and District Awami League General Secretary Abdul Wadud was the chief guest.

Chapainawabganj district Srikrishna Janmashtami celebration committee president and founder of Northern Bengal Vaishnav Sangha Acharya Srila Shyamkishore Das Goswami presided over the meeting as guests of honor, Chapainawabganj District Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan, Chapainawabganj Women and Child Abuse reppression tribunal Judge & Senior District and Sessions Judge Naresh Chandra Sarkar, Superintendent of Police Md. Saidul Hasan, Deputy Director of Local Government Department Debendra Nath Uraon, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kumar Shipon Modok, Principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Dr. Shankar Kumar Kundu.

Among others, Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad Chapainawabganj District Branch President Dablu Kumar Ghosh, General Secretary Dhananjay Chatterjee, Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Oikya Parishad Chapainawabganj District Branch General Secretary Shri Dilip Roy, Project Assistant for Temple-Based Mass Education Activities Project Milan Kumar Das and District Narugopal Pal is the general secretary of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration committee.

Shri Jay Kumar Das, Associate Professor of Rajshahi City College was the main discussant in the meeting.

At the end of the discussion meeting, after the lighting of the mangal lamp, a colorful procession dressed in various costumes circumambulated the main cities of the city and ended at the Northern Bengal Vaishnav Sangha. The guests distributed prizes there.

Also, a discussion was held on the occasion of Lord Krishna’s Janmashtami at the initiative of Hindu Welfare Trust and District Administration. Chapainawabganj Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan was the chief guest in the meeting chaired by Deputy Director of Local Government Department Debendra Nath Uraon. Superintendent of Police Md. Saidul Hasan and Principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Dr. Shankar Kumar Kundu were special guests.
