Admission “Deception” prompts Case against 9, jailed 3 in Bogura

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Admission deception in Bogura prompts to lodge a case against 9 culprits and police arrested 3 in connection with the deception.

Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shajahanpur police station said that the 9 including 4 were identified persons was accused with the case with Shajahanpur police station in Bogura on Saturday night.

One of the victims of the admission deception Rashedul Islam of Shoshankandi area under Shajahanpur upazila in the district and a victim student of lodged the case and out of nine accused, 3 were arrested and one remained fugitive following the arrest 3 persons, he added.

Following the case filing, RAB-12 personnel arrested 2 and district police arrested one office staffs involved from the college campus on that day and later they were sent to the court and the court sent them to jail on Sunday.

The arrested accused were identified as Master roll employee of the college Harunur Rashid, 40, of Latifpur Southpara and Aminur Rahman, 45, of Jigatola  area and Officer assistant of the same college Abdul Hannan, 45, of Horigari area under sadar upazila in Bogura.

The fugitive accused was identified as Kawsar Ali, 24, of Chandrahata of Omarpur under Shajahanpur upazila of Bogura district and he was also a student of Govt. Shah Sultan College.

Case statement said that the accused took money at 50 thousand, mark sheet from the plaintiff and different amount of money and valued documents from other 19 students two years ago for admission and they were given roll number of the college and they continued their respective classes.

During form-fill up of HSC exam, they took at Tk. 5 thousand from the each student but before HSC exam, they asked from them to get admit card and registration card and they failed to give them and the victims at a stage knew they had no papers in the college and in the education board, added the case statement.

After deception, the college authority and Board authority formed investigation teams and investigated the matter and assured to ensure the punitive punishment of the culprits.

Professor Humayun Kabir, Secretary of Rajshahi Education board said that the 4-member investigation team has been investigating the matter and no culprit can escape the punishment.
