A 35-year-old young man was stabbed to death over buying an old motorcycle in Pabna Sadar upazila. The incident took place at Chhatiany (West Para) village under Himayetpur Union of the upazila around 8 pm on Thursday.

The deceased Mohammad Rico,35, son of Faruque Hossain a residence of village Chhatiany under Himayeetpur union in Pabna sadarupazila. He was 6 cases including extortion and drugs with Pabna police station, said Kripa Sindu Bala, officer in-charge of Pabna police station. While there are 4 cases including extortion and drugs against the accused Bhola, OC said.

According to police and local sources, Rico bought an old motorcycle from Bhola a few days ago.There was a dispute between them regarding the documents of that motorcycle.An argument started between them today (Thursday) while handing over the documents of them. At one point Rico was seriously injured by Bhola’s stabbing.

Locals rescued him in a critical condition and took him to Pabna General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Police Station Kripa Sindhu Bala said that there was a dispute between Bhola and Rico over buying and selling motorcycles.At one point, Rico was killed by Bhola’s stabbin.

The body was recovered and sent to Pabna General Hospital.Legal action will be taken after written complaint.
