Jamaat-e-Islami took out a protest march in Pabna on Sunday.At one point the procession entered the city and was stopped by the police.

Meanwhile, Pabna district Jamaat Ameer Prof Abu Taleb, secretary principal Iqbal Hossain, NayeebeAmeer Jahurul Islam, sadar Ameer Abdur Rauf and others spoke in a short gathering at Masum Bazar in the town.

Police arrested 5 Jamaat-Shibiractivists on their way back after the procession. Those arrested are Wasim Mia (28), Delwar Hossain (22), Aslam Molla (42), Chhibgatullah (27) and Ratan Ali (27).

Officer-in-charge of Pabna police station Kripa Sindhu Bala confirmed the arresting matter.
