Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia went on a 40-day vacation from Thursday, marking the occasion of holy Ramadan, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr.
IU acting register HM Ali Hasan confirmed the matter on Tuesday. He said the academic activities of the university would remain closed from March 23 to May 1, while the department authorities can take examinations in the vacation if they want. University authorities will provide transportation support for holding examinations during the holidays. Besides, the university’s offices will remain closed from April 17 to April 26.
During Holy Ramadan, the office hours will be from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, as per Ali Hasan. He also added that All academic and administrative activities would resume on May 2 after ending the vacation.
However, resident students have not been asked to vacate their halls during this period.
