Bogura DC extends his hands  to MBBS admission seeker Nazira

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam has extended his humanitarian hands to MBBS admission seeker Nazira Sultana in Bogura recently.

Nazira, the daughter of Nazrul Islam and housewife Halima Begum, a hair-cutter of Fakirpara village of Arulia area under Sadar upazila in Bogura who got chance in MBBS course under Sylhet Osmani Medical College in 2023.

The Deputy Commissioner, after hearing the news from the media outlets, along with UNO sadar upazila Firoza Parvin rushed to Nazira’s house for extending his cooperative hands to the hair-cutter’s daughter admission in first year of MBBS course in the session of 2022-2023.

The Deputy Commissioner with his humane hands handed a cheque of at Tk. 50 thousand over for completing her admission, buying books, and staying at her hostel to Nazira and her parents.

Out of two daughters, she completed her SSC from Choypukuria High School in 2020 and HSC from Mujibur Rahman Mohila College of Bogura town in 2022 and later she admitted in a Coaching in Bogura town this year and secured 1568 merit position of the total merit list scoring 72 marks and got chance in Sylhet Osmania Medical College.

Her father Nazrul Islam said that after getting chance in MBBS course he and his family fell in utter despair, in a sea of difficulty as a hair-cutter like he has no ability to get his daughter admitted in MBBS course in Sylhet Osmani Medical College.

At a stage, he rushed to the media men of Bogura to extend their help for the sake of his brilliant daughter’s admission in MBBS course and finally, humane personality and dynamic administrator DC of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam rushed to the house of poor hair-cutter to greet the success-maker daughter and ensure her all out support in her study career and handed over a cheque.

Father Nazrul Islam said that he is really proud of his daughter as she got chance in MBBS course after hard labour but his low-income making hair-cutting job would not be able to give her support properly and the cooperation of DC sir would help his daughter to step forward.

The solvents, well-wishers, education-friendly people of the country or any corner of the world might extend their help for Nazira’s study in medical college to make her life-long-cherished dream successful, her father Nazrul urged.

Nazira’s mother Halima Begum said that she was very sincere from the early of her student life and such sincerity brought her in the zenith of success.

Nazira felt proud of her father’s hair-cutting profession and expressed her deep gratitude to the DC of Bogura for extending his kind help so that she could complete her admission and other formalities and being a renowned doctor, she could serve the medical-support deprived people of the society.

The DC of Bogura Saiful Islam said that poverty-stricken Nazira is an example of indomitable spirit and such root-level brilliant student should be encouraged and district administration remains beside such brilliant student round the clock.
