A 4-hour long seminar on ‘Industrial Research’ was organisedat Department of Chemistry of Pabna Science and Technology University (PUST), where pro vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. SM Mustafa Kamal Khanwas present as the chief guest which the seminar was presided over by chairman of chemistry departmentMdFaruqueAhmed.The programme was conducted by third year student of the department Md. Shariatullah

Public relations officer of the university Babul Hossain said in a press release sent to the media, special guest science faculty dean professor Dr. Md. KhairulAlam and Rajshahi University chemistry department Chairman Prof Dr. Hasan Ahmed shed light on resource-related issues in the seminar.

BCSIR senior scientific officer Md. Monowarul Islam and senior manager of Square SM AbdulAlim were as resource person in the seminar.

Pro vice-chancellor Prof Dr. SM Mustafa Kamal Khan said to the students that now the scope of research in the country has expanded, only the efforts and strong will of a student can make him successful to take to the destination. For this, if you want to do well at work, you must acquire skills. Chemistry should be from liking to love and contributing to the country.

We will work closely with research institutes within reach, including the Bangladesh Sugar crop Research Institute at Ishwardi in Pabna. We keep trying and that is why we all have to work together to build a modern and quality educational institution.” Kamal added.

Dr. SM Abdul Alimon research and development and Dr. Md. Monowarul Islam discussed about industrial research.

All the teachers-students and officers-employees of the department also participated in the seminar.
