Mobile court has fined Tk 25 thousand as 1962 liters of soybean oil illegally stored, recovered from warehouse of Shop owner Abdur Razzaq under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
The fine was imposed by conducting a raid at Rukhsana Store in Mirzapur Bazar of the upazila at 8.30 pm on Saturday. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sabrina Sharmin conducted the operation. After the fine, shop owner Abdur Razzak immediately paid the fine.
According to mobile court sources, soybean oil was stored in the warehouse of Rukhsana store in Mirzapur market for sale at higher prices.
Receiving the news, the mobile court conducted an operation and recovered 1,962 liters of soybean oil. At that time 1,200 liters of oil was sold among the buyers according to the 160 Taka written on the cover of the bottle. The remaining oil has been ordered to be sold in the presence of administration officials.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Officer Sabrina Sharmin said that such campaign of Upazila administration will continued of the public interest at the end of the campaign.
