Body of a woman recovered from a residential hotel in Rajshahi

Police have recovered the body of a woman from Dream Haven, a residential hotel in Lodhipur of Rajshahi metropolis. Police initially believe the woman was killed by suffocation.

The deceased was identified as Zainab Begum, 42. She and a man named Mizan (40) got into the hotel as husband and wife around 10 am on Sunday. Later, at around 11 pm, the police recovered the body of a woman from a locked house.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajpara Police Station Jahangir Alam said police found a woman’s body lying in a room of Dream Haven at Laxmipur Hotel in the city around 11pm. Police later broke the lock and recovered his body.

He further said that Mizan, who was introduced to her husband, locked the door of Room 403 of Hotel Dream Haven at around 1.30 pm and left. Later in the night, Mizan did not return and the hotel staff became suspicious. They then informed the police.

According to the police, Mizan called Zainab Begum to the hotel and killed her. It is mentioned that the house of both of them is in Godagari. However, fake names and addresses have been used in the hotel register. Zainab’s name is written in the register as Julekha (26).

His birth is mentioned there in 1970. Police later found out that the woman’s house was in Natore. She is the daughter of Taseer Pramanik of Narayanpur area of ​​Natore.

The body has been kept in the morgue of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital for autopsy. The OC also said that legal action would be taken later.
