Yasin Ali, 45, a construction worker, was killed in a head-on collision between two CNG-run autorickshaws under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.Four passengers including CNG driver Abdul Rashid were injured in the incident.
Accident took place at around 10 am on Wednesday (April 6) at a place called Darugram on the Sherpur-Nandigram regional road. The deceased was identified as Yasin Ali, son of late Yusuf Ali of Omarpur village under Nandigram upazila.
It is reported that Yasin Ali was going to Sherpur by a CNG-run autorickshaw from Nandigram for house building work. On the way, another CNG-run autorickshaw collided head-on at Darugram.
Yasin Ali died on the spot and four other passengers were injured. Having informed the news of the accident, the family members of the deceased took Yasin Ali’s body home from the spot.
Sherpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said police had visited the spot.Yasin Ali’s body was taken home. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is lodged on behalf of the victim’s family.
