Four more people died of corona symptoms in Rajshahi

Four more people have died at Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital in the last 24 hours due to corona symptoms.

They died while undergoing treatment between 9am on Sunday and 9am on Monday (January 31). Two of them are from Rajshahi and two from Chapainawabganj district.

Director of RMC Hospital Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed this on Monday morning. He said no patient had died of corona infection at RMC Hospital in the last 24 hours. However, four people have died of coronary heart disease. Two of them were admitted in ward 29/30 of the hospital and two were admitted in ICU.

Among them are three men and one woman. Two of the four dead were over 60 years old. Also one is 51 to 60 years old and one is 11 to 20 years old.

Meanwhile, 63 patients were admitted in the 104-bed RMC Corona unit till 9 am on Monday. Even a day ago this number was 60 people.

There are 36 people admitted to the hospital with corona. There are 22 people admitted with corona symptoms. Corona of 5 admitted people was not caught. Besides, 9 people have been admitted in the last 24 hours. In this one day, 9 people have recovered and left the hospital.

At present the hospital has 36 patients from Rajshahi, 9 from Chapainawabganj, 6 from Natore, 4 from Pabna, 3 from Kushtia, 2 from Meherpur and one from Bogura. On Sunday, at the RMC Hospital lab, a sample test of 188 people revealed the corona of 79 people.

On the same day, in Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) lab, samples of 451 people were tested and corona of 145 people was caught. In this lab, samples of 275 people from Rajshahi district were tested and 110 people were caught. Corona detection rate is 40.82 percent.

In the same lab, corona was detected in 26 out of 108 samples from Joypurhat, 8 out of 80 samples from Chapainawabganj and one out of 9 samples from Natore. Corona detection rate in Joypurhat is 24.06, in Chapainawabganj it is 13.33 and in Natore it is 11.11 percent.
