Five people were killed and another injured in a Bus-Autorickshaw collision at named Amtola area of Mirzapur union under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district on the Bogura-Dhaka highway around 5:30 pm on Wednesday (January 26).

It is learned that all the victims were Autorickshaw passenger. One woman and four men were killed in the accident.

Sherpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said, “A Hanif Paribahan bus was heading towards Rangpur from Dhaka at around 5:30 pm, a CNG-powered autorickshaw collided head-on at the Sherpur upazila”.

“The autorickshaw twisted and killed 5 passengers including the driver as well. All bodies of the deceased have been recovered” he added.
