Siraj Uddaula, a multi-award winning educator. His dream is to spread the light of education in different areas in his area so that people of all classes can use their skills in the spread of education. That is why he has set up multi-faceted educational institution on his own initiative. The dream now is to set up a medical college and a nursing home in his village.

Siraj Uddaula, the youngest son of the late Khoyaz Uddin of Daramuda village under Nandanpur union of Santhia upazila in Pabna was born in 1970. While in the womb, his father Siraj Uddaula grew up in the shelter of his uncle. But, razakars killed his uncle in 1971. What a cruel joke! Siraj Uddaula’s mother also died when she was only 6 years old. Siraj continued to grow after losing the affection of all the loved ones. Siraj began to travel to school in the company of others, slowly walking along the village mad road with the book wrapped around his chest.

Siraj Uddaula passed primary, Dakhil and Alim with an indomitable unknown accumulated dream. Extremely meritorious Siraj gradually obtained Bangla Honors degree from Pabna Government Edward College and MA degree from Rajshahi University. Then, after obtaining LLB degree from Pabna Amin Uddin Law College, he obtained B.Ed and M.Ed degrees.

At the end of his education, Siraj vowed to put his teachings to good use when he set up Daramuda Primary School with the help of his brother Ataur Rahman and family members to light the darkness in his area. He has built Hafezia Madrasa and orphanage in the village. Khwaja Uddin School and College established by donating one acore of land as a family and he served as the principal there.

Siraj has established a vocational (technical) school for the employment of poor and unemployed students in the area and has made a place in the minds of unemployed students.

Not only that, S, S, C and H, S, C programs for drop-out senior students have launched under Open University. Daramuda Khojaj Uddin Technical School and Women’s BM College, Institute of Agricultural Technology, Institute of Information and Communication Technology, college, Mosque, Eidgah Ground, Library, Club for Sports and Social Welfare and various social institutions have been established.

Many talented students, including teachers, doctors, engineers, ICT engineers, advocates, paramedical doctors, diploma engineers, marine engineers, nurses, police, army, BDR, navy, air force, navy and air force in various countries with degrees from his institutes were working abroad.

Siraj’s last dream is to set up a medical college and a nursing home in the dream area. That is why he is keen on the cooperation of the Prime Minister and local MPs.

In recognition of the glorious achievement of Principal Siraj Uddaula for his special contribution in the field of education, “Mother Teresa Golden Award 2019”, “Ekattarer Smriti Padak 2019”, “Sher-e-Bangla Fazlul Haque Smriti Padak 2021”. He has been awarded many prizes at the local level including “Language Soldier Abdul Matin Memorial Award 2021” and “Language Martyr Smuti Sammanna 2021”. So people now know Siraj Uddaula as Shiksha Bhai.
