Kurigram’s Rowmari thana police recovered body of a three-aged kid at Jhagrer Char area under Rowmari upazila of the district.

The victim was identified as Shafiq Rahman, 3, son of Jahedul Islam of Jhagrer Char area of Datbhanga union under Rowmari upazila.

Montaser Billah, Officer-in-charge of Rowmari police station, said Shafiq was missing from his residence on Friday afternoon (February 5). After searching him for five hours, he was found in a sack at an abandoned house near his residence at around 10:00 pm on the day.

Police rescued his body from the abandoned house at the night and sent to Kurigram morgue next day while local informed police about the matter. Police assumed he was killed with breathing and packed in a sack.
