Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami don’t want to be king, rather they want to serve the people of Bangladesh if they get mandate from the people in the upcoming election, said Rafiqul Islam Khan, Assistant General Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islam central committee.
He added that they will not involve in any extortion and they let not conduct any extortion by anybody in the country and added that people want to get honest, efficient and expert leadership in the country through July-August Revolution across the country.
Rafiqul Islam Khan was speaking as the chief guest at a day-long Reunion and Cultural programme for Ex-Shibir men by Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islami, Bogura Town Branch at Shaheed Titu Auditorium in Bogura on Saturday.
Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islami, Bogura Town Branch and former upazila vice-chairman of sadar upazila Abedur Rahman Shohel presided over the whole programme and conducted by ASM Abdul Maleque and Hedayetul Islam.
Special guests were Central Mojlise-shura member Prof. Nazrul Islam and outgoing central shibir president Monjurul Islam.
In the reunion programme, out 2500 Ex-shibir leaders, members, associates, activists of Bogura Town and District unit, few of them spoke. A colourful rally was marched past in the main roads of the town and a mind-blowing cultural porgramme was also held by the guest and local singers.
