A team of 4-Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Bogura personnel has seized 600 gm Hemp from the possession of two narcotics Peddlers and arrested them before Uttoron Fueling Station of Dhaka-Rangpur highway at Gokul area under sadar upazila in Bogura on Wewdnesday morning.
The arrested narcotics traders were identified as Ibrahim Mondal, 27, son of Nuruzzaman Javed of Horipur Panchbibi of Joypurhat district, and Riaz Mollah, 19, son of Late Alamgir Hossain of Shorishamuri of Betagi under Borguna district.
With the enthusiastic direction of the Commanding Officer (CO) of 4-APBN (Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police) Syed Abu Sayem BPM, the drives have been conducted in the 16 districts of the northern part of the country as part of ensuring security, anti-drug and anti-smuggling combating of 4-APBN, Bogura and so far many successful drives have been initiated in the northern part of the country.
The APBN team was led by Inspector (unarmed) Md. Abdur Razzak, his forces conducted a successful drive in the location and arrested two narcotic Peddlers with 600 gm of contraband hemp worth at Tk.30 thousand from their possession.
A case was lodged on Narcotic Controlled Act on section 19 (Ka) under 36(1) of 2018 with Sadar Police Station in Bogura district and they were produced before the court at noon and the court sent them to jail.
