A total 295 landless families are getting houses with land in Sariakandi upazila of Bogura district as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In the first phase, houses are being constructed for 50 landless families in Kajla Union with the gift land of the Prime Minister on both sides of paved road in Pakerdaha village, a short distance from Katapur Bazar.

On the spot, it was seen that the construction work of 50 houses on both sides of the paved road is nearing completion. The house construction work is expected to be completed in a few days. In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Rezaul Karim said that houses are being constructed for 50 landless families in Kajla Union as a gift from Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The construction cost of each house has been estimated at Tk 2 lakh 59 thousand 975. The work is expected to be completed within the next 15 days. The house will be handed over to the beneficiaries as soon as the construction work is completed.

He further said that in the second phase of the 3rd phase, houses with land are being constructed for 245 more landless families in Phulbari and Chaluabari Unions. That work will be completed by next June.
