On Sunday (March 12) afternoon, a Discussion Meeting & Cake Cutting activity have been held & Meritorious Awards have been given for outstanding contribution on their various levels at Saiful Bari Complex of Shantinagar on the occasion.

Editor & Publisher of the newspaper, Alhaj Munshi Saiful Bari Dablu preside over the meeting . Aalhaj Mujibur Rahman Mojnu of Bogura District Awami League President & Chaichairman of Sherpur Upazila spoke as the chief guest in the function.

Alhaj Adv Golam Farouk of Sherpur Upazila Awami League president, Mayor Alhaj Jane Alam Khoka of Sherpur Municipality, Dr. Md Rayhan of Upazila Livestock Officer, Freedom Fighter Alhaj Md. Maqbul Hossain, Former  Upazila Chairman  KM Mahbubar Rahman Harez, Former Assistant Professor of Bogura Medical College Dr. Rezaul Karim, Freedom Fighters Abdur Rauf Khan, Principal  Maolana Abdul Hai Bari have delivered short speech in the meeting.

Nimay Ghosh, President of Sherpur Press Club, Novelist Sahab Uddin Hizal, Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Poet Shah Alam, poet Abdus Samad, journalist Tofazzal Hossain, Ashraf Ali, Solaiman Ali Babu also spoke among  others.

In recognition of their contributions in various fields, the Editor of the newspaper presented awards to six prominent people of Sherpur on behalf of the newspaper.

 At the beginning of the ceremony, the cake was cut and at the end Dua Munajad were conducted by Pesh Imam Maolana Ejaz uddin of Shahi Jame Masjid, Sherpur bus stand, wishing the success of the newspaper.

At that time, the newspaper’s chief reporter Ashraful Alam Pooran, journalist Abu Raihan Rana, Zahidul Islam, Mominul Islam, Ashraf Ali and other people from various professions were present.

 Apart from this, floral greetings were given to the editor of the newspaper by various social organizations throughout the day.
